This gives small businesses a huge edge in connecting with potential customers—they're already nearby, frequenting the same places, and enjoying the same activities.

But how can local businesses make the most of this opportunity?
It’s simpler than you might think:

1️⃣ Start with your best customers.
Look at the activities they’re involved in. Are they part of a local sports team, charity, or association?

2️⃣ Find 2–3 key groups or locations.
Look for common themes among your customers. Do they all frequent the same places or support the same causes?

3️⃣ Strategically insert your brand.

  • Can you collaborate on a joint promotion?
  • Can you give a talk or workshop to a group?
  • Could you donate to a local charity?

By being intentional and hyperlocal in your marketing, you’re not just advertising—you’re building connections that matter.

What’s one way your business has stood out in terms of being hyperlocal? Let’s inspire each other in the comments!
